the Movement of Radiolarian

Ju: ...My first step with radiolarians is about researching the process of crystallization and fossilization in the micro scale environment. As we know, radiolarians, which are living the ocean, have skeleton structure made of silica(or silicon dioxide). The fossils of these skeletal remains cover all over the surface of the earth and the bottom of ocean.

When a sedimentary layer, which includes a lot of radiolarian's fossils composed by silica, meets geysers(hot spring water), both silica and water start several chemical reaction to make the basic structure of opal which is tissue structure of a mineraloid gel. This tissue structure is the very image of the original radiolarian's skeleton shape. This transformation of radiolarian seems the living activity even though radiolarian have already lost its life because the whole process keeps the character of natural material such as lightness, flexible and self-assembly. Therefore there are a lot of possibility to get self-glowing material under simple control, if we find special catalysts to accelerate the process.

For the near future, we have to provide sustainability method against the change of climate such as the rising sea level and temperature, the rate of acid and alkali, and the life period of material.

I intend radiolarians to be accelerated their movement by several condition to be the origin of cell division and transformation to something else.
